Artisan Small Batch Yarns created by
FARMERS/MILLERS/ARTISTS

Summit Point, West Virginia

We’ve taken our love of wool and fiber to the next level and built a fiber mill right on our own farm! With 75 fiber sheep that all have names, we have experience working with a variety of breeds. Fine wools, medium wools, long wools, we have it all! The breeds we currently have are Cormo, Shetland, Jacob, Finn, Wensleydale, East Friesan, Border Leicester, Blue Faced Leicester and one newly rescued Romney x Corriedale 😁. We’ve had alpaca and angora goats in the past. Our familiarity with all these breeds of fiber animals and the best uses for their fiber is experience few in this industry have.

Bridget Brown of Bridget’s Farm Cart is a fiber artist who spins, felts, and weaves. With her background in fine art, she combines her passion for art with her love of her sheep and wool to create stunning wool paintings and also fine art acrylic paintings. Bridget is a Chairperson of the Shenandoah Valley Fiber Festival Fleece Sale and is an active member of the Loudoun Valley Sheep Producers Association. Head Spring Farm is also a popular stop during the Over the Mountain Studio Tour in November each year.

Tim Daly has had a lifelong history in the horse industry and has been active in the care of all the fiber animals on our farm. His ingenuity and experience with all kinds of mechanical and farm operations will keep the mill running at a steady pace. Tim will also be handling a large part of our wholesale sales operation.
